Language Libraries

It may be that some of the existing ANSI C++ libraries will require redefinition within a parallel C++ standardisation, and it will be the job of EC++ to define how any such libraries should behave in parallel. This behaviour could well be (and indeed is likely to be) very different between different parallel architectures and EC++ will require to define this behaviour such that an applications programmer will know precisely what is available and how it behaves.

Again it is clear that different (sequential) C++ implementations may not have the same library facilities and for that reason it is proposed that this area should consider only the ANSI standard libraries and not any vendor specific libraries which exist on specific hardware platforms.
