Assumes exectuable name identical on all machines

At present the system assumes that the exectable has exactly the same name on all machines: this probably requires NFS mounting. In addition this means that if there is a temporary mount point name on the front of the execuatable path, for example /tmp_mnt/ then this should be the same for all machines.
