We should create a front-end script called uc++ that acts like a UC++ compiler: all the proxy generation and then linking to the proxy files takes place automatically, producing an a.out file that can be run directly. This would only be used for quick-starts probably, but would seem to be necessary.
This will generate an exacutable in a $(PVM_ARCH) directory, and a shell script a.out that calls this for the relevant architecture. Lots of issues, like what happens if there are different platforms, arise.
As far as possible, everything should be done for user, even starting PVM perhaps (our programs should anyway start PVM on the hosts in a config files).
